Rio+20 Conference to be Held on Wednesday

It has been reported that the Rio+20 conference is scheduled to be held on Wednesday to Friday. During the conference, environmentalists would raise various environmental issues. An environmentalist, Rio Branco Avenue would demonstrate as to how environment is being severely damaged. The demonstration would take place at Rio de Janeiro.

On Tuesday, representatives of 190 countries expressed their concession on green global development. However, a final decision over it would be taken during the conference. The aim of the summit Rio+20 is to bring in sustainable environmental changes so that environment could be saved from being damaged by men.

While commenting upon the green global development pact, Connie Hedegaard, the European Union's climate commissioner said that people are happy about the green global development pact. Connie Hedegaard wrote on twitter, “…has too much 'take note' and 'reaffirm' and too little 'decide' and 'commit'. (The) big task now for U. N. nations to follow up”.

It seems like the euro zone crisis is on the mind of most of the politicians as a fewer of them have shown interest in the summit. The financial crisis has drenched world’s economy. However, still it is hoped that the summit would prove fruitful for the environment conservation.
