Coffee Can Have Both Bad and Good Effect on Heart, Say Researchers

Researchers have been studying benefits of coffee over human's health for quite long. A recent research over coffee has found that two cups of coffee in a day can be good for health. The findings come with a warning. It has been warned that patients with heart problem should not take more than two cups of coffee, in a day.

The researchers examined previous studies which were conducted in the past eight years. During the observation, it was found that consumption of two cups of coffee in a day can reduce the chances of heart failure by 11%. However, additional intake of coffee can adversely affect the heart.

The findings have been published in the journal Circulation Heart Failure. The journal is published by the American Heart Association. The lead author of the study, Elizabeth Mostofsky, said that any amount of intake of coffee should be brought into the notice of the doctor as coffee can play vital role in heart failure.

It is estimated that about 5.8 million Americans are facing heart problems. Reducing the intake of coffee can prove beneficial for them. The research is limited as it has just observed previous studies and have drawn conclusion. Further studies are required to be conducted to claim whether or not coffee is good for heart.
