Thousands of Women to Join This Year’s Race for Life

It's time to walk and stand up for a cause. Recent reports suggest that thousands of women will be a part of this year's Race for Life in Cambridgeshire. It has been estimated that as many as 7,000 women will come together to mark the event and support the Cancer Research UK in its fight against cancer.

The event which is scheduled to be held tomorrow will witness thousands of participants walking and running around in the streets of Cambridgeshire in pink. Yes! This year's theme color for the event is pink. The participants will walk, jog or run the 5km race past numerous universities and will end on Jesus Green. The money raised by the event will be handed over to the society, Cancer Research UK.

Julie Braithwaite, Event Manager for the Cambridge race, said: "Good luck to all the ladies taking part, I hope they enjoy the race and remember to take it steady".

Moreover, it has been notified that for safety of the participants, many streets will be closed. And any of those, who wish to have a glimpse of the participants, can do it from either of the points, including Parker's Piece, Regent Street or Jesus Green.
