Marie Curie Calls for Helpers
Marie Curie Calls for Helpers

All those, who are looking forward to get themselves involved in some sort of charity work then here comes the golden chance for you as a cancer charity is calling more people to come forward as volunteers on Wearside.

The above call is being made by Marie Curie Cancer Care, which is calling more people to serve as volunteer tin co-ordinators in Sunderland.

The job from the charity will need the volunteers to perform some important duties like gathering in its collecting tins, counting as well as banking all the collected contents. Moreover, they also have to decide suitable places to place the new tins for the business and even to support the charity’s Great Daffodil Appeal in February.

Marie Curie Cancer Care collects donations with an aim to help provide specialist care to terminally ill patients in their own homes. The need of the charity presently is more workers and volunteers to take care of some important jobs in the organization.

Ms. Anna Kirk, local fund-raiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care, said: “We really need to find people who can help us harvest the amazing amount of donations we receive during the year”.

One such similar help recently came from Mr. Paul McGrane and Clodagh McCann (two players with strong Armagh connections) during the launch of the Ballyhegan ‘Park ‘n’ Stride’ fund-raiser by Marie Curie Cancer Care.
