If you are also relaxing thinking that your energy drink or protein shake is doing things for you and your health, then get up and read this news because scientists have bought some very astonishing facts to know.
In their recent findings, a team of researchers is claiming that they have found no evidences proving that the energy drinks and protein shakes are equally beneficial as they claim.
Experts issued the above warnings yesterday when they found in their recent study that the truth is not of some but a majority of sports-related products that claim to be beneficial for the drinker but are lacking evidences at a big scale to prove same.
They said that the found figures were almost “worrying” for them. The study was performed by the Oxford Centre of Evidence-Based Medicine. In their research, they took into account 104 performance enhancing products including drinks, sports footwear, exercise clothes and equipment etc.
The report concluded: “Half of all websites for these products provided no evidence for their claims, and of those that do, half of the evidence is not suitable for critical appraisal”.
Ms. Deborah Cohen is one of the investigators in the research. The team of experts has advised the European Food Safety Authority to take efficient steps in to the matter and regulate all such claims.
