Dog Walker Comes Across Placenta; Police Orders Investigation

Recent reports have revealed that placenta and medical equipment have been discovered from an area in Woodland. In response to this, police officials have issued an investigation into the matter.

It has been reported that the matter came into light after a woman was walking with her dog in South Woodchester near Stroud in Gloucestershire late in the evening yesterday. Her dog had disturbed a bag, so she went to have a look at it.

However, what she found in the bag was simply horrifying for her; she found a bowl that was containing placenta that must have been used by midwives. Moreover, she found towels, some tissues and also some medical wipes.

She immediately informed the police about this, who without wasting any moment took an action. They called upon a midwife to examine the placenta.

It has been reported that the midwife has examined the placenta, but has not yet concluded that whether the placenta is of a human or an animal. However, police have raised concerns that if the placenta is of a human then it must have been around 20 weeks old.

Medical staff at local maternity units said, “They have not admitted a woman who has given birth to a baby of that age”.

Detective Inspector Steve Bean, of Gloucestershire police, has asked out help from the public.
