Egg Yolk Linked to Heart Stroke

A recent study conducted by Canadian researchers has found that egg yolks can cause heart problems. Higher consumption of egg yolk has been associated with heart diseases. The researchers have informed that egg yolk reduces the flow of blood in the vessels by causing clotting other barriers. This can lead to heart attack or cardiovascular diseases.

The researchers were reported saying, "Our results suggest a strong association between egg consumption and carotid plaque burden. The effect size of egg yolks appears to be approximately two-thirds that of smoking".

The researchers are of the view that their findings would help in inventing strategies by which heart diseases could be prevented.

For the study, the researchers examined about 1,200 people, who were into the habit of eating egg yolks. It was found that crossing the age of 40 carotid plaque areas grew by manifolds. Smoking also contributed significantly in causing heart problems. Together, the egg yolk and smoke can be dangerous to health.

People have been advised to consume eggs just twice in a week. Additional consumption of egg would leave a considerably adverse affect over heart. It is hoped that people will take serious note of the findings. However, further studies are required to be conducted in this regard.
