Blood Pressure Being So Common, Still So Uncommon

Several millions of Americans are not aware that they might be at risk of high blood pressure. Chris Terry asserted that he got to know that he is suffering from high blood pressure accidentally. His wife is a nurse and that is how he got aware of problem.

But still this accident might not occur with the several millions, still relaxing and unconcerned about their risk. Statistical reports suggest that each day 1,000 people die to high blood pressure.

Dr. Marc Mayhew suggests that the problem is very common, as lifestyles have changed, eating habits have changed. All these factors have ended up in causing such a situation.

Dr. Mayhew asserted that high blood pressure is majorly due to two major reasons, one is unhealthy food, including junk, fried foods and inactive lifestyle, which means no exercise, work outs. According to him, there is also a third factor corresponding to the situation, but that is not under human’s control, which directly links to the family history. Majority of the people get to know of such problems after visiting a doctor for a normal check-up.

Dr. Mayhew said, “Even if you do not have high blood pressure, you should still take precautions. Exercise is the key. Set aside 20 to 60 minutes a day to go for a brisk walk”.
