A conference has been planned by the Vermont Medical Society Education and Research Foundation to focus on a physician's role to create a high performance and more effective health system for the people in Vermont.
According to sources, the officials will meet in the conference to primarily talk about the measures that can be adopted to understand the vital role of the health care providers and how they can best help in improving health care quality and affordability.
It got cleared from the announcements of the officials that the conference named as "Making Vermont a High Performance Health System" will be held on Sept. 22nd, and will start from 8 a. m. to continue till 1 p. m. The venue for the event is the University of Vermont's College of Medicine's Carpenter Auditorium in Burlington, Vt.
There are also reports that M. D., network president for Partners Healthcare System and CEO of Partners Community HealthCare, Inc., Mr. Tom Lee, will be giving a keynote during the conference titled "Care Redesign - A Path Forward for Providers", which will mirror the facts of his recent New England Journal of Medicine article that has also been written with the same name.
"Physicians have a unique opportunity and a responsibility to convey the message to patients that they are working on their behalf to provide the highest quality and most cost-effective care", said Dr. Lee.
