HTC Makes Debut in Windows Phone 8 Handsets; Launches Two Handsets

The Taoyuan City, Taiwan, headquartered phone manufacturer HTC has declared of its latest Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S smartphones, which are already being pre-ordered in UK.

The company made no mention regarding the costs of the devices, but credits to SIM free retailer Unlocked Mobiles, which unveiled the price of both the handsets. It has been reported that the HTC Windows Phone 8X will be costing the user £398.98, on the otrher hand, Windows Phone 8S has been launched at an affordable price of just £224.98.

Further, the retailer has affirmed that the handsets will be shipped on November 5, as for HTC Windows Phone 8X and November 15, scheduled for the Windows Phone 8S.

Earlier, the company made smartphones based mostly on Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system (OS) software, but in 2009, it began to shift its core focus on Android OS and in 2010 to Windows Phone OS as well.

The recently launched handsets are its first creation in the field of Windows Phone 8 handsets. The Windows Phone 8X has been classified to be equipped with more technology, in comparison to the other, with an HD touchscreen of 4.3 inches, supports the 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, internal storage of 16GB and an 8MP camera with HD 1080p video.
