Candidates standing for the US Presidential elections are raising brow on the promises made by the current President, Obama. Recently, Mitt Romney pointed out as to how Obama promised of dealing with the climate changes and how swiftly he forgot his promises.

Mitt Romney said, "President Obama promised to slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet. Climate Change Melts Greenland's Ice Sheet, Will South Florida Drown? How Climate Change Will Flood Broward". The candidates although are taking the support of climate changes for wooing the votes of the voters, they should not misunderstand the coming threat of increasing sea levels.

A recent study has found that the Arctic sea ice is melting quite rapidly. Month by month the situation is turning worse. The politicians should not only announce the facts and figures they should also inform the public as to how they are going to stop Arctic sea ice from melting at rapid rate.

A yet another study published in the Geophysical Research Letters has found that the snow in the springtime is melting in the Arctic quite dramatically. One of the researchers sad, "When you remove the snow cover from the land surface... you expose the bare land or tundra underneath, and that absorbs more solar energy".
