New Jersey was quite serious when it said that it wanted to open an alternative treatment center. It has been found that the state health authorities have provided a medical marijuana license to Greenleaf Compassion Center.
It is said to be the first centre, which has received the license. The state health authorities have confirmed that they have provided the license on Monday, and now the centre can provide marijuana as an alternative medicine.
It shall however be noted that marijuana will only be given to those people, who qualify for the need of the same and that too for medical use. “This permit marks a significant step forward in the implementation of New Jersey’s Medicinal Marijuana Program and allows Greenleaf Compassion Center to begin dispensing medicinal marijuana to qualified patients”, said Mary O’Dowd, who is positioned as New Jersey Health Commissioner.
He further affirmed that they have been and will continue to make sure that all the alternative treatment centers work within the state guidelines as well as do not compromise on peoples’ safety.
In order to ease the process for patients, who would be allowed to take marijuana from the centers, it has been found that the Medicinal Marijuana Program (MMP) will issue identification cards to them.
