Xbox SmartGlass to be launched Soon

It has been reported that on 26th of October, Microsoft's SmartGlass second-screen for Xbox 360 will be launched. The launch will coincide with the launch of Windows 8. It has come to light that app will be free to use on Windows 8 and RT tablets and PCs.

The Xbox 360's updated dashboard will be offered to all the users of Xbox. Although Windows 8 and Windows phone will support the app, other devices might have to wait longer to allow the users to enjoy the new Xbox.

The Chief Marketing Officer at Microsoft, Yusuf Mehdi said, "We are bringing Xbox Entertainment off the console to your phone, tablet and PC to deliver great games, music, TV and movie experiences. And as a part of this effort with Xbox Smartglass we are going to introduce amazing multi-screen entertainment experiences".

It has come to light that by using SmartGlass, one will be able to control the console from another device. However, initially only Windows 8 and windows phone will allow the users to enjoy this particular feature. In the coming times, the other devices will also be connected to the SmartGlass.
