According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple Maps was facing problems since last few times and when the chief of Apple iOS software, Scott Forstall was asked to apologize, he refused. It seems that this refusal is the only cause behind his resignation.
Apart from this, the New York Times has also confirmed the termination of Apple's new retail chief, John Browett.
When employees of Apple were asked to comment about Forstall, the Journal came to know that most of them considered him as a troublesome person. According to a large employee ratio, Forstall was not fit for the culture at Apple. He had infuriated many other executives of the company but then has enjoyed the confidence of Steve Jobs.
As written by WSJ reporter Jessica Lessin, this increasing tension among Forstall and other members of Apple's executive ranks forced him to quit his position. Since last so many years the senior executives of Apple were also facing problems because of his uncooperative behavior and over-close relation with Mr. Jobs.
However, it has been decided and announced by Apple that from 2013 onwards, Craig Federighi will be taking over the responsibility of both the iOS and OS X groups.
Craig Federighi is also a programmer and he had the possession of NeXT Software in 1998, but then left the company for the position of chief technology officer at Ariba. Now he is back.
