According to an apparent hint about the availability of Google's next-generation 4G Nexus 7 tablet from online retailer Very, the UK shipments of the tablet will begin on August 9. The 4G Nexus 7 model is now available for preorder on the Very website for £299, as spotted by Cultofandroid.
Though there has been no official confirmation of the UK shipment date of the new 4G Nexus 7 tablet by Very, the retailer is - going by the preorders - promising to have the device shipped to the customers within three working days.
Very's promised shipment hints at August 9 availability of 4G model of the Nexus 7 tablet. However, Ebuyer had claimed that the device will begin shipping on August 28, and Currys and PC World reports have been pointing to the device's September 13 launch date.
Meanwhile, Google itself has not yet started taking preorders for the Nexus 7 at the Google Play store; with a webpage pertaining to the tablet still showing the "coming soon" message. The 4G LTE model has not yet gone on sale in the US.
The non-4G Nexus 7 versions in UK are priced at £199 and £239 respectively for 16GB and 32GB storage options. Some of the most attractive features of the Nexus 7 include a high-end 7-inch 1920x1200 HD screen; a quad-core
1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor; 2GB of RAM; 5-megapixel and 1.2-megapixel cameras; Google's Android OS 4.3 Jelly Bean; and a 3,950mAh battery.
