Unhealthy Lifestyle Can Make Children face Health Complications

A study has been carried out by a group of researchers from the University of Oxford and the British Heart Foundation (BHF) about the effect of unhealthy lifestyle of children.

The study, which is no less than a wake-up call for parents, has found that current unhealthy lifestyle of children can make them suffer from a number of health complications. Some of the many health problems that children can face are heart disease, diabetes and other complications.

The researchers found that one in five children in the UK is having five portions of fruits and vegetable a day. Not only this, it has also been found that very few children are found to be performing recommended level of exercise.

After seeing the condition, it seems that the time is not far when cardiovascular problems taking place early in life will be witnessed. BHF Chief Executive Simon Gillespie said, "These figures are a warning that many of our children are in grave danger of developing coronary heart disease in the future if they continue to live the same lifestyle".

It is high time now that the health authorities and parents should take action and stop children from following unhealthy lifestyle.
