Despite all, it goes to the credit of Kevin Federline throughout Britney Spears' breakdown, he has kept relatively quiet, letting his lawyer Mark Kaplan do all the talking, not because Kaplan talks pretty without using words like 'Yo' and 'Pimp'!

Federline, talking to People magazine, whose cover page he shares with sons Preston and Jayden, comes clean about his marriage, ex-wife Britney's breakdown, and on how he still loves her.

According to him, their 2006 split was the outcome of problems, when he was concentrating more on the children than his wife and marriage. While, Federline was trying to work things out with her, Britney blindsided him by going and filing for a divorce, without talking to him. And, as soon as Spears started acting erratically, he promised himself that he would 'spend every last dime' to get custody of the kids, as they were all that mattered.

But, he admits he was very worried for Britney, especially during a custodial stand-off with police, when she locked herself in the bathroom with Jayden and later wound up in a mental ward. He was worried for her, the mother of his children, because though she was not in love with, he did love her. Concerned about her health, he says he is most definitely rooting for her and wants her to be doing what she wants to do.

With her father in charge of her life, Britney Spears, certainly seems to be turning her life around. What with a new album out, an upcoming tour, she was well-received by the public when she appeared at MTV Video Music Awards and on Madonna's 'Sticky & Sweet' tour, wearing her underwear inside her clothes all the time.

Meanwhile, on 2nd December Spears appeared on 'Good Morning America', later celebrating her 27th birthday with a circus-themed party, complete with hot dog stand, popcorn and cotton candy machines, jugglers and stilt-walkers. An elaborate tie-in to her new album, 'Circus', some of the guests to attend her New York party, included Lance Bass, Jeremy Piven, Ciara and Mommy Dearest - Lynne Spears.
