MechWarrior fans are keyed up as a new game in the MechWarrior series has been confirmed.

The new game simply called MechWarrior, releasing on the Xbox 360 and PC, is going to be a full refresh and complete reboot for the series.

Smith & Tinker and Vancouver-based Piranha Games are developing the game jointly.

The MechWarrior will have a dynamic battle field.

Better accuracy and more powerful weapons are provided in the game as players can select a specific mech and stick with it.

The game will have plans for a single-player campaign, four-player co-op campaign, as well as numerous multiplayer modes. 

However, nothing has been mentioned regarding the date of release of the game.
