A pioneer rocket company Space Exploration Technologies also known as SpaceX has got another feather in its cap by successfully launching a Malaysian satellite named RazakSAT into orbit.

The California-based SpaceX informed that its Falcon 1 rocket lifted off at around 11:35 p. m. ET from Omelek Island in the Kwajalein Atoll, at a distance of 2,500 miles from Hawaii.

SpaceX officials informed, "Falcon 1 has successfully deployed RazakSAT into the correct orbit."

However, the launch was delayed by about four hours due to a technical fault as well as stormy weather.

Malaysia's Astronautic Technology built RazakSAT to take high-resolution images of Malaysia to help in areas of land management, forestry and fish relocation learnings. It was the fifth flight for SpaceX, a private firm founded by entrepreneur Elon Musk in 2002.

International Space Station has been alluring SpaceX for a long time.

Prior to first successful launch in last September, SpaceX had made three launches which could not succeed.
