Twitter launches new homepage, focusing search

Twitter has unveiled its redesigned homepage with a search box, signifying its dedication to search.

The launch of new homepage is seen as an effort of the Twitter to reposition itself and be more accessible to new users.

Now people can have latest required tweets at their disposal just by typing a related phrase or a word in the search box.

Users will see three rows; first one for the current topics, the second one for the topic from the last day and the third row will represent topics from the last week.

Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter has said that the one of the main goals of the new homepage is to make a better first impression of the Twitter.

Biz Stone further said, "The open and timely exchange of information will have a positive impact on the world."

Existing users can have Twitter's new page by logging out of their accounts.

It may be noted here that Twitter had started as a social networking site to keep users in-touch with their friends & families.
