BlackBerry Storm 2 uses peizo-electric technology for user-friendly SurePress touchscreen!

According to reports, the forthcoming BlackBerry Storm 2 - to be launched on the Verizon carrier in October - boasts of a remarkably user-friendly SurePress touchscreen display, thanks to the company's use of the peizo-electric technology.

The singular technology pertaining to Storm 2's peizo-powered touchscreen, which forcefully hits back at the earlier SurePress scorn from BlackBerry rivals, could possibly initiate a 'revolution' in the touchscreen arena - what with the new touchscreen combining the benefits of multi-touch with perceptible feedback!

A recent BlackBerry Storm 2 has revealed that the peizo-electric displays swank the capability of detecting various pressure levels, instead of a mere "click." As such, in comparison to the big 'clickety' button on the previous BlackBerry Storm, the new device's display allows the user to click anywhere on the screen and still have tangible feedback.

The video also compares the new SurePress touchscreen to the iPhone's all-glass touchscreen, which is essentially limited to tap-typing.

In addition, the video also depicts how the peizo-electric technology gives the display an added rigidity when the device powered off and makes it more "squishy" when it is powered on. Furthermore, the video provides elaborate visual aids to display the practical functioning of the new peizo-powered SurePress touchscreen.
