Going by some recently-leaked images, screenshots and specs of the forthcoming HTC Mega, it appears that the smartphone scores fairly high for a mid-range product! If the design and specs of the HTC Mega are an indication, the smartphone is a successor of HTC's January-launched 2009th Touch Cruise.
As per the ai. rs blog, which received a few photos, screenshots and specs of HTC's supposedly 'budget' phone, the underlining feature of the Qualcomm MSM7225,
528MHz powered HTC Mega is that it will run on the Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional.
The key features of the upcoming HTC smartphone, which measures 104x55x12.8mm, are: a small 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen; built-in memory of 256 ROM and 256 RAM, expandable by microSD cards; 3.2 megapixel fixfocus camera; and an 1100mAh battery. In addition, the phone would support quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, along with dualband UMTS/HSDPA at 900 and 2100 MHz.
The seemingly entry-level Windows Mobile smartphone will also feature WiFi b/g; Bluetooth 2.0+EDR; GPS; and 3.5 mm stereo headset jack.
With the kind of images and specs that have been reveled by the ai. rs blog, it appears that the forthcoming HTC Mega is quite a handful in the mid-range segment of smartphones, and that it is a definite representative product in the terms of the newest generation of HTC smartphones!
