As per a new study done by researchers, people who drink are more likely to work out on a regular basis than those who are teetotalers.
Data from the government health survey of U. S. Adults showed that the amount of time devoted to exercises tend to go up along the number of alcoholic drinks they had each month.
Heavy drinkers- people having 46 drinks in the past month for women and 76 or more for men- tend to work out for 20 minutes or more per week as compared to abstainers drinkers are more likely to report vigorous exercise like jogging that light drinkers or teetotalers.
The finding does not say that drinking is a prerequisite to including exercises in the routine. But the researchers definitely found this finding worth exploring further.
One potential reason for drinkers to exercise regularly is that they think it is a way to counteract the calories from alcohol. It is also possible that drinking at responsible levels is a maker of a generally healthy lifestyle.
Heavy drinking has a lot of adverse effects on health but moderate drinking has often been linked to potential health benefits, including a decreased risk of heart disease. Experts recommend that women drinkers should not take more than one drink per day and men no more than two.
