Microsoft is sure enough that Sony PlayStation 3 can not outshine the popularity of Xbox 360. Aaron Greenberg, Microsoft's director of product management for Xbox 360 plus Xbox Live, said, “What I can tell you is, we remain confident that Xbox 360 will not only outsell PS3 for the full calendar year, but for this entire generation.”
Mr. Greenberg added that Microsoft was not worried by the price cuts introduced by introduced by other companies such as Sony.
At the beginning of September, Sony introduced the PS3 'Slim' and slashed its price by $100 to $299, which led a 300 per cent increase in its sales.
Likewise, Nintendo hacked the price of its Wii from $249 to $199 in order to attract more customers.
Aaron Greenberg further said that Xbox 360 is the only console, which reported a year on year rise in unit sales.
