Exceeding all expectations and in what is being seen as result of tight restructuring and strict cost cuts, one of world's top ranked appliance makers Electrolux has reported a whopping 93% profit in its third-quarter report posted recently.
The figures posted by the Swedish appliance maker showed a high revenue increase of 5%. Boosted by higher prices and currency rates which have proved to be favorable for the company, the revenue figures stood proud at 7.6 Billion Kronor (?2.49 Billion).
Profits on the other hand, surged from 847 Million Kronor reported for the same time last year, to a surprising 1.6 Billion Kronor (?144.6 Million) for three months up-to September this year.
Hans Straberg, Chief Executive of Electrolux had, of-late, raised prices on all the company's offered products, despite the highly competitive market. A move which now has proved to be a step in the right direction. In Monday's early trading the firm's shares saw a 10% rise.
