Perhaps one of the most exciting reveals at the 2009 North American International Auto Show will be BMW's aggressive and fresh-looking refresh of Z4 Roadster - joining the line of BMW's awkward naming scheme as Z4 sDrive30i! BMW has released the details and photos of the upcoming Z4 model.
So far as the design is concerned, the new Z4 comes out through classic details, interpreted in new, up-to-date style. The terrific two-seater is elegant, agile, and extremely comfortable. It has a new power hardtop - the two-piece aluminum roof opens or closes in 20 seconds at the push of a button!
With an evolved styling, the new Z4 model seems to have increased more than the 5.8 inches that it is stretched. The car's proportions are borne out by the long and low-slung engine compartment lid, short overhangs, the long wheelbase and large wheels as well as the low seating position near the rear axle. The interior is typical of a genuine roadster - stylish and sophisticated.
As regards the performance, for increased driving pleasure the new Z4 will be offered with "two inline-6 engine displacing 3.0 liters: 300 hp in the BMW Z4 sDrive35i and 255 hp in the BMW Z4 sDrive30i ensure truly outstanding acceleration and response at all times."
In the cabin, the new Z4 can be equipped with an 80 GB hard drive-based navigation system which features the new generation of 'iDrive'. The system feature the new iDrive controller is mounted on the center console, and a huge 8.8-inch widescreen monitor is situated beneath a motorized door on the dash.
