Announcing its yearly "Black Friday" sales deal, Apple said that it is slashing the cost of its MacBook Pro and iMac models by nearly 8 percent across-the-board to $101, with free shipping online. In addition, the company also announced some savings on iPods and Apple TV.
With the one-day-only price cuts announced by Apple, the cost of the company's MacBook Pro 13-inch model with a 2.26GHZ processor has been reduced from $1,199 to $1,098; while the 15- inch MacBook Pros will cost between $1,598 and $2,198 till midnight.
Meanwhile, the price of the 21.5-inch iMac with a 3.06GHz processor has dropped from $1,199 to $1,098; while the 27-inch 3.06GHz model will cost $1,598 and the quad-core 27-inch iMac with a
2.66GHz processor will cost for $1,898.
The cost of the iPod Touch has been slashed in the range of between $21 and $41, with the sale price of the 8GB touch being $178; the 32GB version being $268; and the 64GB iPod touch being $358. Moreover, with an $11 drop in the price of the iPod nano, the device will sell at $138 for the 8GB model, and $168 for the $16GB model.
Furthermore, a $21 discount on the price of the Apple TV model, with 16GB hard drive and 802.11n Wi-Fi, has brought down the cost of the model from $229 to $208.
