Man Charged with Murder of His 2 Children in Calgary

43 year old James Bing Jun Louie was, on Saturday, charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder, the murder of his 2 kids and attempted murder of his wife, as has been confirmed by Calgary police. The accused is to appear in court on Monday morning.

At around 9 pm on Friday, the police shared that they got a 911 call from a house in the Panorama Hills neighborhood, and after gaining forced entry into the property found the body of a 13 year old. Further probe into the house led them to a man and woman fighting fiercely and that is when the police intervened.

"It is our firm belief that the rapid intervention of our officers interrupted a potential homicide. We believe these were domestic-related homicides and we're not looking for anyone else in connection with this case", Calgary police Chief Rick Hanson who shared that there was a huge possibility that the man could have killed his wife as well.

Further search led the police to the discovery of a 9 year old girl's body as well, and the children's mother, after being rescued, was taken to the hospital with on-life-threatening injuries. The father remains in custody.

Although confirming that the family was not known to the Calgary police, there has been no disclosure of how the children died.
