Google's automated language translation feature, which is currently available at the Google Translate service, is being entwined into the Internet search giant's main search engine.
Called the 'Translated Search' feature, the new tool will facilitate users in quickly finding Google search results in their preferred non-English language, out of any of the 51 languages that will initially be available.
As per the information forwarded by Google, the translation tool will display five different languages in one go.
Talking about the new feature in a blog post, Maureen Heymans and Jeff Chin, Google's technical head and product manager respectively, said: "Now, when you search on Google for something in your own language, you can use this tool to search the web in another language."
To work the translation feature, the users need to click on 'Show Options' at the top of the search results page; and thereafter choose 'Translated Search.' Upon the mention of the search term by the user, Translated Search selects the different languages in which to translate the user's query, and presents the listing of search results written in those languages.
To give the users a clear indication about the specific results found in the various foreign languages, the 'Translated Search' results are displayed on the top of the regular search results and are highlighted with gray borders.
