Vital Update For IE From Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday

Microsoft

The final Patch Tuesday from Microsoft for the year 2009 was released, and it contained about six bulletins on new security. It has been reported that the most urgent one is the one that affects the zero – day flaw in IE and the exploit code for which exists and has become public.

It has been brought to notice that there has been almost a 5 per cent drop in the number of security bulletins with only 74 in the year 2009 as opposed to the 78 security bulletins which was released in the previous year.

It has been reported that the MS09 – 072 has to be dealt with first as the security bulletin has the security update for IE and it fixes the critical zero – day bug which has become a huge concern for all users ever since the code for exploitation became public.

It is a notable fact that fix was delivered in less than two weeks which makes it evident that Microsoft had made it a top priority. It has also been reported that almost all problems that is faced by the IE6 users can be eliminated by going in for the Internet Explorer 8, but it is significant that most people still opt for the older version.
