SimAuthor wins $5 million, four-year contract from U.S. Navy

SimAuthor, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of QinetiQ North America and part of its Systems Engineering Group, has won a $5 million, four-year contract extension from the U.S. Navy to support aviation flight data analysis technology it developed to help ensure the safety of military pilots.

Under the deal, SimAuthor will deliver customized MFOQA applications, with the company's FlightAnalyst(TM) and FlightViz(TM) software integrated into local operating procedures by the MFOQA SME Team.

The Boulder-based SimAuthor’s FlightAnalyst and FlightViz software collects flight-performance data for analysis, and helps Navy and Marine planners reduce flight risks, maintenance and enhance training.

Additionally, SimAuthor will continue to provide on-site application support to various Navy and Marine Corps locations in the U.S., and during deployments worldwide.

SimAuthor is the leading provider of flight data analysis and visualization software. The company develops commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) application software for flight/simulator debriefing and after-action reporting, as well as to improve aircraft maintenance, operations, safety and training.
