Aston Martin unveils Carbon Black versions of its two supercars

Aston Martin

With both its DBS and V12 Vantage grand tourers having reportedly "surpassed all sales expectations", Aston Martin - which recently revealed official pictures of its Cygnet supermini - has unveiled the Carbon Black versions of these two supercars.

As per Aston, the astounding sales numbers of the DBS and V12 had encouraged the company to celebrate by giving them a manual touch of Carbon Black paint which has been "especially formulated with a subtle metallic twist to create a deep rich patina."

Aston specified that for giving each car the Carbon Black look, 50 man-hours of hand painting will be involved, and it will not be a mere spray jon. Other notable highlights of the cars will be the inclusion of lightweight carbon fibre and Kevlar seats to be draped in hand-stitched Obsidian Black leather; lustrous black 10-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheels; and piano black fascia trim.

Seemingly, there will not be any performance or mechanical upgrades in the Carbon Black versions of the two cars - the 510bhp 5.9-litre V12 engine is the standard that both these cars share at present.

The Carbon Black Aston Martin editions have already been made available to order from the Aston Martin dealership network; and the first deliveries would likely be carried out in March next year.
