The $1,000-priced new iPhone application BarMax CA, which happens to be the most expensive iPhone app at present, is apparently a very useful app for the law students preparing for the bar exam. The comprehensive, over 1 gigabyte in size, BarMax CA app is, as the name suggests, is particularly meant for the California bar exam.
Conceived by TrialPay’s director of business development, Mike Ghaffary, the BarMax app took shape as a result of the tireless efforts of Ghaffary as well as a few successful iPhone app developers in Los Angeles, and some of Ghaffary’s fellow Harvard Law graduates.
Providing virtually all the information that law students may be looking for about the three key components of the bar exam - multiple choice questions, essays, and performance test - the BarMax CA iPhone app comprises sufficient content running into thousands of pages of materials, along with audio lectures that span hundreds of hours, and electronically sent tangible paperwork for some sections.
Though BarMax is currently available for the California bar exam preparation, Ghaffary and his team hope to release subsequent apps for the bar exams in New York and five other most popular states for the exam, by the end of 2010.
While the price-tag for all state-wise versions of the BarMax app will be on par at $1,000, a $500-priced ‘multiple choice only’ version might be made available in the coming future.
