NHTSA investigating Mazda CX-9 crossover SUV for brake issues

According to a Reuters report, issues with effectiveness of power brakes in the Mazda CX-9 crossover SUV are been investigated by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The investigation covers approximately 62,300 Mazda CX-9 SUVs from model years 2010 and 2011.

Almost 215,000 of the cars being involved in the defect are said to have been sold in the U.S. Mazda has reportedly asked for a recall of over 300,000 cars in the US, Canada and Mexico  of Mazda3 and Mazda5 models built from April 2007 to November 2008.
