An astonishing research has revealed that the rate of death in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland, is higher than places with similar levels of poverty. Glasgow exceeded deaths in Manchester and Liverpool by 900 people between the years 2003-2007.

This has perplexed experts who have christened the occurrence as the Glasgow Effect.
