Indonesia Keen on Investing in Malaysia
The businessmen of Indonesia are waiting with keen eyes to grab the chances to invest in Malaysian manufacture, health and tourism sectors.
They were of the view that there is less of information on incentives as well as opportunities for investment that are available for them to be able to enter the local business scene.
Datuk Seri Dr Tahir, head of a 16-man delegation from Jakarta, said that they received a pleasant surprise when they were enlightened about the offers of incentives given by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority.
"We found that there are a lot of incentives for businesses with pioneer status", he said at a media briefing in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
The geographical structure and the close government ties prevail but there is sure a gap of networking between the two communities that is the hitch.
"We have informed the Malaysian government that we shall publicize about Malaysia through our newspapers once a week over the next one year period in areas, such as tourism, investment, healthcare and property", he said.
