Shoes depict Persona
Shoes can depict the personality of a person, says a research being taken out by a group of researchers from the University of Kansas. Psychologists, who conducted the study, were of the view that condition, price and color are the three things of shoes, which can portray the nature of person and his shades.
In order to reach at the above given result, the study researchers said that they enrolled 63 students and showed them 208 different pairs of shoes. Lead researcher Omri Gillath said that they asked the volunteers to guess the gender, age and social status of the shoe owners.
Some additional questions were also being asked from the volunteers, like their view on the nature of shoe owner, as will he be introvert or extrovert, kind or harsh and mean or helpful. "Shoes serve a practical purpose, and also serve as nonverbal cues with symbolic messages. People tend to pay attention to the shoes they and others wear”, said Omri.
Omri explained that shoes have become an integral part of one’s life. They come in different styles, hues and brands, that it is able to predict one’s behavior from their choice. While citing an example, he said that the most boring shoes was being categorized by the volunteers, were of those, who have suffered heart break.
