Opposition says Vic child protection is in crisis

Charges about kids being sexually mishandled while living with the welfare office Anglicare demonstrate the Victorian child protection framework is in crisis, the opposition says.

Chief Denis Napthine says Anglicare has fizzled in its obligation of forethought to youngsters under its guardianship and that the legislature is examining.

Anglicare is at the inside of cases kids taken from their guardians by Victoria's Department of Human Services into private consideration with the welfare body were sexually mishandled.

They were initially brought up in court cases in which folks looked to recover their kids from DHS.

Restriction group administrations representative Jenny Mikakos said on Thursday she knew of different cases in which kids were mishandled both by pedophile rings inside private forethought and by other youngsters in consideration.

"The segment is talking normally to me and they are reporting that this is a typical event," she said.

"That is totally awful, that this is happening with youngsters going after other kids as well as pedophile rings going after youngsters in private forethought."

Dr Napthine said Anglicare had committed errors.

Dr Napthine said the administration was exploring the case.
