Uber, the popular ride service company is desperately trying to save its tarnished image after facing occasional controversies. The company released the findings of a report on Friday which focuses on, how the company should handle its passenger data. The ride sharing services said that it will start acting and implementing the recommendations for improvements that have been put forward by the report..
Lawyers at Hogan Lovells, penned down the report and the company paid for his services. The report says that Uber, which provides services through a smartphone app, has guidelines and procedures that are suitable for data security, internal access control as well as data retention.
The report also said that Uber can perk up its privacy and data security system by adopting certain measures like providing employees with proper training, simplifying policies so that customers can understand them easily and could also tighten the access control.
The management of San Francisco-based, Uber after announcing the findings of the report said that it has already started implementing the recommendations and to make the systems better would be following the suggestions put forward.
Uber has expanded quickly in the last few years as the car ride services gained popularity among people who like to sit at home and conveniently call for a ride using their smartphone through an app. The company offers services in fifty four countries.
