Two killed in gunfire at nightclub in Fort Myers in Florida

Police officials in the state of Florida have said that two people have died in a gunfire at a night club in Fort Myers in the state.

The nightclub called, Club Blu was hosting a swimsuit-themed party for teens in the city. Thw two victims included an 18-year-old basketball player and a 14-year-old who leaves behind a twin brother. Police said on Monday that dozens others were injured in the shooting.The police detained three people in the case, even they haven't been charged in direct connection with the shooting.

The Fort Myers Police Department has confirmed that it is not a terror related incidence. The Lee County Sheriff's Office said that three people includingDemetrius O'Neal, 19, Derrick Church, 19, and Tajze Battle, 22 were arrested on Monday. The Sheriffs' Office also said that they are looking for other "potential suspects" in connection to this case.

Governor Rick Scott said in a statement that, "While we are still learning the details about what happened this morning, we know that some of the victims of this terrible incident were children. We will continue to pray for the victims and their families. We're blessed in the state. We're in a 45-year-low crime rate. That's a blessing, but every family we care about. We don't want this to happen to anybody, anybody at all in our state."
