H-E-B recalls baby food products
H-E-B Grocery Co. has removed all of its H-E-B Baby Food 2 pack 4 oz. cups from store shelves after a customer found a small piece of rubber inside a single pack of one variety of the product, company officials announced.
Winell Herron, the company's Vice President of Public Affairs, Diversity & Environmental Affairs, said that there were no reports of injury or sickness linked with this isolated incident. However, the company issued the recall out of an abundance of caution because it takes customers' health very seriously.
Herron confirmed that a customer reported that he/she found a "foreign" material in the product, but stressed that the company was committed to ensure absolute and complete food safety.
Speaking on the topic, Herron added, "As a result of that commitment, coupled with the fact that we are dealing with a children's product, we have made the decision to pull all of our H-E-B Baby Food 2 pack 4 oz. cups from our shelves."
Those who have already purchased H-E-B Baby Food 2 pack 4 oz. cups can either discard the product or return it to their an H-E-B store for a full refund.
