Ted Cruz booed for not endorsing Trump at Republican Convention

Senator Ted Cruz, who fought a bitter primary battle with Donald Trump for the presidential nomination from the Republican Party, was booed at the Republican National Convention after he took the stage but did not endorse Trump as presidential nominee of the party.

Ted Cruz stopped on stage to big cheers from both Trump and Cruz delegates at the Quicken Loans Arena packed with supporters. It appeared to many that Cruz is ready to announce his support for Donald trump, who he fought viciously in the primary season. However, he stopped before endorsing him and told the cheering crowd that they should vote their conscience in the November election.

He urged people not to stay at home in November; at this point many through that he will endorse his former opponent. But h went on to say only that people should vote for candidate of their choice. After these remarks, the crowd starting booing the senator and began chanting "Trump, Trump, Trump!".

Trump's New York allies stood up and started chanting "We want Trump!". Cruz responded by saying that he appreciates the enthusiasm of the New York delegation. He said that people should vote to be able to say "Freedom matters and I was part of something beautiful." The crowd stared booing him and his wife, who was also n stage.

Donal trump reacted to the incidence on Twitter with a post, "Wow, Ted Cruz got booed off the stage, didn't honor the pledge! I saw his speech two hours early but let him speak anyway. No big deal!"
