Apple Watch 2 expected to come with some noteworthy new features
With tech biggie Apple expected to unveil the second version of its Apple Watch smartwatch -- Apple Watch 2 -- next month, several reports and rumors of the new Apple wearable have hinted that the device will boast some noteworthy features.
Though the overall appearance of the forthcoming Apple Watch 2 version will be quite similar to that of the original Apple Watch, the new smartwatch will reported by equipped with a 'One Glass Solution' (OGS) display (OGS) in place of the original device's Glass/Glass (G/G) display.
The Apple Watch 2 version will also be comparatively sleeker than the original smartwatch, and will be powered by a new TSMC-manufactured S2 chipset.
In addition, one of the impressive new features coming to the new smartwatch will be a barometer sensor which - largely to be used in health-tracking functionality - will allow the device to measure altitude. The barometer sensor will be paired with a GPS system, to enable the smartwatch to gain access to location data.
Moreover, it is also speculated that Apple Watch 2 - which will apparently be an independent device as compared to the original Apple Watch - will also come with more strap and watchface options; thereby underscoring Apple's efforts to ensure that the new smartwatch is as customizable as possible.
